Questions

Frequently Asked Questions for Microneedling

Your treatment begins with a gentle yet thorough cleanse, followed by the application of a medical-grade numbing cream to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure. Once the skin is prepared, microneedling of the face and neck is performed, taking approximately 25 minutes to complete. After the treatment, a soothing medical-grade mask is applied to calm and hydrate the skin, complemented by cooling ice globes and a relaxing facial massage to reduce redness and promote healing. The session is completed with a restorative healing lotion and a protective SPF application to support recovery and protect your results.

Microneedling can be mildly uncomfortable but most people describe it as a mild

scratching sensation rather than pain.

It’s normal to experience temporary redness, a feeling of skin tightness, or mild swelling after treatment. These effects generally subside within 12–24 hours. Makeup can usually be worn after 24–48 hours, once the skin has settled and feels comfortable.

Microneedling helps with a wide range of skin concerns by stimulating collagen and elastin production as well as skin texture, tone, pores, fine lines, and mild scarring

Microneedling works by stimulating your skin’s natural healing response and encouraging the production of new collagen and elastin. This process happens gradually, not all at once.

For best results, we recommend a series of three treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart. This timing aligns with your skin’s natural regeneration cycle, allowing each session to build upon the collagen stimulation from the previous one. Repeating treatments too close together does not allow adequate healing, while spacing them too far apart can reduce cumulative benefits.

After completing the initial series, maintenance treatments twice yearly help preserve collagen levels, maintain skin firmness, and slow the natural breakdown of collagen that occurs with aging and environmental exposure.
