TMJ Disorder
TMJ refers to Temporomandibular Joint Disorder. The masseter muscle here often gets irritated secondary to teeth griding and clenching which can often lead to a square looking jaw, headaches, as well as tooth ware and pain. The number of units used is so variable in these muscles because a full assessment is required to determine the patient's goal of facial appearance, level of discomfort caused by clenching and overall consideration of the cause and effect of injecting into this area related to fat distribution in the face.
Please meet with Dr Nick virtually to discuss possible Botox prescriptions for the treatment of TMJ.
For those who cannot get coverage for TMJ or Migraines, cost per unit is discounted to $7/unit for pain areas
